What this unit is

The Luxuria is a Napoleon direct vent linear gas fireplace. Napoleon lists Glass Guard and eFIRE app control for the series, and its current product page lists Dynamic Heat Control on the Luxuria 50 (rated at 38,000 BTU on natural gas). One installation manual, W415-2035, covers the LVX38, 50, 62 and 74 (-1) models.

Error codes

We haven't confirmed which error codes or diagnostic lights this model uses yet, so we're not listing any here rather than guess. Your owner's or installation manual (linked below) is the right place to check what a flashing light or code means on your unit.

Common problems

  • The remote stops working. Put fresh batteries in the remote first. It's the most common, and the cheapest, fix.
  • It won't light, or it lights and then goes out. Turn it off, wait a moment and try once more. If it still won't stay lit, stop there. Repeated tries won't fix it, and the cause usually needs hands-on diagnosis.
  • You're not sure what a flashing light means. Look it up in the manual linked below before you try anything else.

When to call a tech

  • Any gas smell (leave first, then call your gas supplier from outside)
  • It won't light or stay lit after one retry
  • The glass is cracked, or you notice unusual noises, soot or a strange smell when it runs

Official manuals

Napoleon hosts these manuals on its own site. Check that the model number on your rating plate matches before you rely on one.
